“Outside of the mountains, it barely ever snows on Skye,” they told us. And on the evidence of recent weeks at least, they told us wrong. Mostly for the better as it happens.
Gale-force winds and a near-blizzard might have assailed Fiscavaig last night and into the early morning hours, but it made for a magical scene today. As the accompanying photos hopefully indicate, The Passing Place seems to suit a winter’s wonderland and the view looking out from Fiscavaig Beach takes some beating too.
