Something we  realised over the course of serial holidays on Skye: the sun doesn’t always shine on the island, but when it does the effect is magical. Yesterday was one of those days and when you simply have to get out and about the landscape.

Perfect for our lovely guests from Cologne, Lutz and Eva, to venture up to the Black Cuillin. Whereas we enjoyed a more sedate drive around the Braes headland and then, as pictured, a walk out to the tip of Fiscavaig Bay and then back again to The Passing Place, still basking at 7pm.

Now, if we could just dial up more of the same…
